Job summary

TransPerfect Connect seeks highly fluent bilingual interpreters (English/Spanish) for a structured call center role, providing consecutive interpretation across medical, legal, and financial services. You will handle long exchanges with high accuracy and confidentiality, supported by paid training and ongoing coaching.

Ideal candidates possess strong listening skills, emotional control, and professional demeanor, with at least 6 months in a related role and comfortable with basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with at least B2+ proficiency.
• Pass language and interpreting skills assessment.
• Minimum 6 months of call center, customer service, or interpreting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services between English and Spanish across industries (medical, legal, customer service).
• Ensure accuracy, neutrality, and preservation of tone and emotion in interpretation.
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Manage call flow professionally and intervene for clarification when needed.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence in high-pressure interactions.
• Apply memory retention, note-taking, and listening techniques for long exchanges.
• Remain within interpreter role and avoid giving personal opinions.
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and feedback sessions.
• Use MS Office and internal platforms to log calls and activity.
