Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent editorial experience.
• Five+ years in editorial work, ideally with team leadership.
• Excellent command of English and Spanish.
• Thorough knowledge of the Bible and evangelical Christian thought.
• Strong editorial and aesthetic judgment with translation/editing complexity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to guide authors.
• Proven leadership: directing people, workload, and conflict.
• Comfort with word processing and manuscript tagging tools.
• Personal alignment with Bible-based faith and Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Editorial Spanish Team, conducting regular performance appraisals.
• Guide Spanish books and Bibles from manuscript through publication with translators and editors.
• Coordinate with Spanish Publishing and other teams to align schedules and expectations.
• Own the manuscript editing process end-to-end, including style sheets and copyediting.
• Recruit, hire, and train new editors and manage freelancer relationships.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI tools, for editorial strength.
• Represent Tyndale and the Spanish Team at professional events and conferences.
