Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court seeks a Spanish Court Interpreter in Suffolk County to provide interpretation and translation services for LEP individuals across court events and programs. The role requires interpreting with accuracy, reporting to the Regional Coordinator, and traveling to various court locations.

The position is unionized; new hires start at entry level and may advance within the salary band per the CBA/MOU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of related work experience.
• Interpreter Certification preferred; must obtain within 3 years if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, sight translation, and translation for LEP individuals in court settings.
• Interpret accurately for LEP individuals and parties without editing.
• Report to Regional Coordinator and submit monthly service records.
• Travel to court locations within the region as needed.
• May serve on the OLA Translation Committee.
• Perform other duties as required.
