Job summary

Motlow College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor - Spanish (Pool). The position delivers quality instruction in Spanish across on-ground, online and hybrid delivery modes, working with course leads to ensure equitable student experiences.

Responsibilities include using the college LMS, updating syllabi, and meeting deadlines for attendance, grades and surveys. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Spanish (or related field with 18 graduate hours in Spanish) and, preferably,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Spanish or a Master’s degree in another discipline with 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
• Doctorate in Spanish (preferred).
• College-level teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid delivery modes as assigned.
• Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
• Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
• Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
• Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
• Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
• Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and surveys and student outcome assessments by deadlines.
• Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
• Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
