Job summary

KBR at Morón Air Base, Spain, seeks a War Reserve Material (WRM) AGE Corrosion Control Specialist / Welder. This expatriate role combines corrosion control and fabrication to extend the life of ground support equipment, under the USAFE UABOS contract.

You will inspect and treat corrosion, paint, and perform precision welding using TIG, MIG, and ARC processes, reading blueprints and keeping strict safety standards in a dynamic international setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years combined corrosion control/industrial painting AND structural welding/metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding and industrial painting techniques.
• Valid driver's license and U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Corrosion control, painting, inspection of AGE/MMHE, identifying damage.
• Surface preparation: masking, stripping, sanding, blasting; coatings application.
• Read blueprints and military orders to fabricate/repair components.
• Perform TIG, MIG, ARC welding and oxyacetylene cutting for repairs.
• Ensure safety, handle hazardous materials, and maintain shop equipment.
• Document actions in ELMS/IMDS and assist AGE Mechanics as needed.
