Job summary

KBR’s elite team at Morón Air Base is looking for a War Reserve Material (WRM) Aerospace Ground Equipment Corrosion Control Specialist / Welder. This expatriate role combines corrosion control with fabrication, welding, and painting to extend the lifecycle of ground support equipment under the USAFE USAir Base Operations Support contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years in corrosion control/industrial painting and structural welding/metal fabrication.
• Must have welding proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc processes.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, treat, and prevent corrosion on AGE and MMHE.
• Fabricate metal components and perform TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), ARC (SMAW) welding and repairs.
• Coordinate with environmental and safety procedures for HAZMAT handling and painting operations.
• Document maintenance, painting, and welding actions in ELMS and IMDS.
• Wear PPE and operate in confined spaces or paint booths.
