Job summary

KBR is seeking a War Reserve Material Aerospace Ground Equipment Corrosion Control Specialist / Welder at Morón Air Base, Spain. This expatriate role combines corrosion prevention with fabrication, welding, and surface treatments to keep ground support equipment mission-ready in demanding environments.

You will perform HVLP painting, HVLP coatings, and multiple welding processes while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of combined corrosion control/industrial painting AND welding/metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick welding and industrial painting techniques.
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Hazmat handling and industrial paint booth operations training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, treat, and prevent corrosion on AGE, MMHE, and related equipment.
• Fabricate metal components and perform structural repairs.
• Operate TIG, MIG, ARC welding and cutting processes.
• Maintain paint booth, PPE, and environmental safety compliance.
• Document maintenance actions in ELMS and IMDS.
