Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold Spacesuit Design Engineer to design, prototype, test, and validate engineered products for next-generation space hardware. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong emphasis on CAD design, prototyping, and rigorous testing.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical or aerospace background, 2–12 years of relevant experience, and a track record of delivering high-quality design in ambiguous settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 2–12 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD environment; track record in fast-moving environments; design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Work on a collaborative team developing Spacesuit Design, develop, test, implement, and analyze technical products.
• Perform engineering design evaluations and tests to inform decisions.
• Procure, assemble and test advanced prototypes; present designs at design and test reviews.
• Prepare design documentation and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
