Job summary

Operations Technician role supporting the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF) at Johnson Space Center. You will operate breathing-air and environmental control systems, assist in astronaut training for ISS, CST/Boeing, and Artemis programs, and maintain safety and readiness for high‑risk operations.

You will participate in test events, ensure system integrity, and document logs, end-to-end qualifications, and incident responses as part of a multidisciplinary team within a NASA mission

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years in operations/maintenance or related technical experience.
• NASA PIV badge eligibility and required trainings.
• Ability to work in a safety‑critical, time‑sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate breathing-air and ECS equipment within qualifications.
• Support training events and maintain equipment logs.
• Verify gas purity and monitor system performance during operations.
• Maintain event checklists and qualification records.
• Coordinate with technicians, instructors, and facility staff.
