Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Engineering Operations Lead embedded in the Lunar Transfer Stage System Test team on-site in Merritt Island, FL. You will translate engineering scope into structured plans, track milestones, and communicate progress to leadership, while managing risks and coordinating with internal teams and customers.

The role emphasizes scheduling rigor, resource loading, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe and efficient test campaigns for spaceflight programs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering, project management, or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, engineering operations, or program support in a technical environment.
• Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar scheduling and tracking tools.
• Ability to build and maintain project schedules and track progress against milestones.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear status updates for technical and program leadership.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of integrated test campaign schedules, tracking progress against key milestones and flagging risks and variances to leadership.
• Assist technical leads in translating engineering scope into structured work plans, including task identification, sequencing, and resource loading.
• Support week-to-week planning and execution tracking for the system test team, helping maintain alignment between program-level plans and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare and communicate regular status updates on cost, schedule, and risk to engineering and program management.
• Identify and elevate schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and execution gaps, and support development of recovery plans.
• Coordinate across internal teams and customers to support test readiness activities, review preparation, and deliverable tracking.
• Support risk and opportunity identification and help maintain the team's risk register.
• Assist in the development of statements of work and support coordination of external services as needed.
