Job summary

Viasat is seeking a software and test infrastructure engineer to shape the future of spaceflight hardware test systems. You will develop modern architectures, automate data pipelines, and create dashboards that provide actionable insights into test results and product performance.

You will work across systems, hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to modernize test workflows and ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalable solutions across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with Python, C#, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with automated test systems and hardware/software integration.
• Experience with data tooling and engineering data systems.
• Ability to drive technical solutions from concept through deployment.
• Strong communication across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and automation solutions to improve test execution and engineering productivity.
• Build integrations between test systems, databases, and analytics platforms.
• Create dashboards and reports for reviews and management visibility.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop data pipelines and SPC capabilities for quality and manufacturing metrics.
• Collaborate with test engineers to create reusable methods and workflows.
• Document software, architecture, and guidelines for long-term sustainability.
