Quantum Space is seeking a Software Test & Automation Engineer II to build and maintain automated testing for spacecraft flight software across SIL, HIL, and flight-representative environments. You will design automated test cases, scripts, and frameworks using Python and C/C++, collaborating with flight software and systems teams to ensure mission-critical reliability.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software testing or automation, strong debugging skills, and familiarity with CI/CD.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SWE, CE, EE, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in software development, software testing, test automation, or related engineering.
• Strong programming in Python, C/C++, or equivalent languages.
• Experience developing automated test scripts, frameworks, or verification tools.
• Experience testing embedded systems, real‑time software, or complex apps.
• Understanding of integration, verification, validation, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD processes, and software configuration management.
• Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and defect tracking.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and teamwork communication.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain automated integration, verification, and regression testing for spacecraft flight software.
• Design and execute requirements-based test cases and automated scripts.
• Develop and enhance automated test frameworks using Python, C/C++, or equivalents.
• Verify command/telemetry processing, mode and fault management in flight software.
• Support testing in SIL, HIL, and flight-representative environments.
• Collaborate with flight software, systems engineers, and test teams to identify defects and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain automated regression suites to protect existing functionality during changes.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to boost quality and efficiency.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and generate verification reports.
• Support test environments, simulation tools, and test infrastructure maintenance.
