Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a NDT Radiography Technician to inspect flight hardware using Digital Radiographic Test methods in a safety-conscious aerospace environment. The role emphasizes established radiography techniques, documentation, and collaboration with engineers and management.

Applicants should meet NAS-410 training and US eligibility requirements. The position requires experience with DR/CR systems, blueprints interpretation, and strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Must meet NAS-410 radiography training requirements.
• 40 hours of Radiation Safety Training.
• Meet minimum Vision Requirements (near and color perception).
• Familiar with ASTM E1742 Standard Practice for Radiographic Examination.
• Familiar with ASTM E2445 Performance Evaluation & Long-Term Stability of CR System.
• Familiar with ASTM E2698 Standard Practice for Examination using Digital Detector Arrays.
• Experience operating NDT inspection equipment and radiation safety equipment.
• Ability to determine optimal parameters per defined techniques and system calibrations.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• MS Office proficiency required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off shifts to meet deadlines.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or eligible visa status.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain techniques to examine hardware per safety and spec requirements.
• Perform inspections using Digital Radiographic Test (DRT).
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings/work orders.
• Document and organize inspection results; maintain traceability.
• Communicate findings to Engineers/Managers and discuss inspection results.
