Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a NDT Radiography Specialist to perform development and production activities involving nondestructive testing methods for spaceflight systems. You will primarily inspect flight critical metallic and composite hardware using Digital Radiography, ensuring safety, quality, and repeatability in a demanding aerospace environment.

This role requires Level II radiography certification, NAS-410 experience, and the ability to work the B-shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Level 2 experience in non-film radiography (DR or CR)
• Must pass Radiographic General Test and Specific Test by week 3
• Carded by a state or certifying entity as a radiographer for X-ray
• Must meet NAS-410 training requirements in Radiography
• 40 hours of Radiation Safety Training
• Able to certify to Level II per NAS-410 in Non-Film Radiography with 800+ hours
• Must meet vision requirements: 20/25 or Jaeger No.1; Ishihara color test
• Familiar with ASTM E1742, E2445, E2698 standards
• Experience with NDT inspection equipment and radiation safety equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints/schematics
• MS Office proficiency
• Willing to work overtime/weekends/off shifts as needed
• Able to lift and transport parts/equipment within OSHA limits
• Experience in lab and field inspection environments

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware
• Perform inspections using Digital Radiographic Test (DRT)
• Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly process control checks
• Document and organize inspection results
• Interface with Engineers/Managers to describe results
