Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Flight Assurance Mechanisms Engineer to join a mission-critical team supporting spacecraft mechanisms across their full lifecycle onsite in Western TX.

The role emphasizes process rigor, inspections, and anomaly resolution to ensure flight hardware meets safety and reliability standards for a high-cadence satellite production environment. Collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and test is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong experience with anomaly investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience supporting qualification and verification testing (TVAC, vibration, etc.).
• Knowledge of quality processes, documentation control, and hardware lifecycle assurance.
• Familiarity with AIAA, ECSS, NASA, MIL specs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own flight assurance methods and processes across the mechanisms lifecycle, from design to test.
• Perform inspections at hold and witness points during assembly and testing.
• Review and approve work instructions and test procedures.
• Track qualification activities and prepare test readiness reviews and sign-offs.
• Manage nonconformance investigations and root cause analysis.
