Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Mechanisms Engineer to support development, integration, and validation of advanced aerospace systems on onsite Western Texas operations. You will work hands-on with mechanical hardware across manufacturing, qualification, launch, and mission operations.

Responsibilities include leading deployment mechanism integration, test planning, and documentation, plus analyses of interfaces, tolerances, and performance. Collaboration across engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• At least 4+ years with mechanical systems, moving components, actuators or deployment devices.
• Experience with aerospace hardware and high-reliability systems preferred.
• Familiarity with environmental testing standards and aerospace quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and verification of spacecraft deployment and actuation mechanisms.
• Execute hardware builds and support manufacturing, test and flight operations.
• Develop integration procedures, test plans and engineering documentation.
• Perform mechanical analyses, tolerances and load transfer assessments.
• Conduct environmental and functional testing to qualify flight hardware.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams through hardware lifecycle.
