Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer (AIT) to join a high‑impact team supporting spacecraft hardware for a next‑gen satellite constellation. This hands‑on, mission‑critical role focuses on manufacturing processes, build optimization, and quality assurance from prototype to mass production.

The position is 100% onsite in Western TX with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Occasional weekend/early-morning work may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in GD&T, torque application, and precision assembly.
• Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and test equipment (oscilloscopes, thermal chambers).
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and RCCA/DFM feedback skills.
• Able to work occasional weekends/early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Execute and optimize build processes for spacecraft hardware and assemblies.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, travelers, and production docs.
• Support technicians on the floor to resolve blockers and improve processes.
• Develop tooling, jigs, fixtures, and GSE for testing and integration.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, fit checks, and torque applications to spec.
• Analyze data to establish pass/fail criteria and support launch readiness.
• Lead RCCA and drive DFM feedback to engineering for improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure manufacturability and throughput.
• Recommend process improvements to reduce build time and increase reliability.
