Job summary

Katalyst Space Technologies, an American tech company focused on dynamic space operations, seeks a Manufacturing / Production Planning engineer to translate designs into production plans and manage BOMs for spacecraft hardware. You will own sequencing, coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and quality, and drive readiness for low-rate, high-complexity builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years manufacturing engineering, production planning, or aerospace hardware support.
• Experience creating/managing manufacturing plans, routings, travelers, BOMs, and work orders.
• Understanding of manufacturing flow, sequencing, tooling, inspection requirements, and shop-floor realities.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, MES, or PLM to manage BOMs, material demand, and status.
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, supply chain, quality, technicians, and programs.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and BOMs into executable manufacturing plans, routings, and build kits.
• Own production planning and sequencing for spacecraft and subsystems; coordinate readiness.
• Maintain manufacturing data in ERP/MRP; identify shortages and drive recovery plans.
• Develop processes, tooling, fixtures, and layouts to reduce risk and cycle time.
• Support hardware builds by resolving gaps, discrepancies, and changes without losing config control.
• Build labor and schedule plans; establish readiness criteria and escalation paths.
