Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Spaceflight Hardware Project Manager - Structures Division to lead multidisciplinary teams on government spaceflight hardware programs. The role interfaces with NASA and Bastion to plan, execute, and deliver hardware development, testing, and certification across the life cycle.

You will oversee cost reporting, scheduling, and risk reviews, coordinate with internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with flight hardware processes and WAD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of related experience.
• License or certification may be required.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimating.
• Experience with NASA/JSC flight hardware processing and Class I hardware.
• Experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and life cycle processes.
• Ability to review Work Authorization Documents (WADs) for flight/testing support.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal project teams to develop the plan for engineering spaceflight hardware programs.
• Develop and maintain financial reports to monitor cost performance.
• Oversee procedures, work instructions, and process flow.
• Interface with NASA managers and operational customers to present project status.
• Plan hardware troubleshooting to investigate failures in flight hardware and test support hardware.
• Coordinate and support hardware development through design, procurement, fabrication, testing, data analysis, and certification.
