Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to design and maintain software drivers for emulation hardware, integrating vehicle simulations with hardware platforms, and validating emulation against flight hardware.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, proficiency in C/C++, and hands-on lab testing experience, with travel and a TS/SCI-friendly environment desired. This is a full-time position based in Washington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development for embedded systems, simulation, or hardware emulation/testing.
• Proficient in C/C++ development.
• Skilled in Python or a similar scripting language for test automation and data analysis.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded control systems, including APIs, interfaces, and device drivers.
• Hands-on experience with standard electronics lab equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• Familiarity with Ethernet, Spacewire, CAN, I2C, SPI, UART.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software drivers for emulation hardware interfaces.
• Integrate vehicle component simulations with the hardware emulation platform.
• Develop and execute test plans, automation scripts, and procedures to validate the emulated system against flight hardware.
• Debug issues at software-hardware interface and resolve discrepancies between emulation and hardware.
