Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Technician to support the manufacture of existing product lines and the assembly of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and prototype units. You will work closely with engineers and quality teams to ensure systems meet specifications.

This role involves detailed assembly, safe operation in a cleanroom environment, and potential overtime to meet production schedules. Candidates should have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and comfort with microscopes and precision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of technician work experience in a relevant field.
• Familiarity or strong interest in CCA SMT soldering of 0402 or larger components.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to assemble and build products.
• Assemble electronic and mechanical components per drawings and instructions.
• Support manufacture of Ground Support Equipment and prototype units.
• Maintenance of lab equipment to support production.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve issues.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Work as part of a team to meet quality and delivery goals.
• Seek opportunities for process improvement in assembly and test.
• Occasional overtime and weekend work to meet schedules.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
