Job summary

KBR in Houston seeks an Electrical Engineer for the HHPC2 Engineering Department to design, develop and certify electrical, data, and power sub-systems for human spaceflight. You will build relationships with leadership, peers, customers and authorities while supporting flight hardware across NASA programs.

This SkillBridge role requires active duty US military eligibility, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years in flight hardware development, with NASA experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be active duty US military eligible for SkillBridge.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an electrical engineer with flight hardware experience.
  • Previous NASA or NASA contractor experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on complex projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout and related design practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical, data and power subsystems with component selection and layout.
  • Support engineering lifecycle from concept to certification.
  • Support verification, test procedures, and data interpretation.
  • Apply engineering judgement to provide solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Participate in project reviews, customer meetings, and design reviews.
  • Deliver high quality products within cost and schedule targets.
  • Test and integrate hardware with software and ground test support.
