Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Harness Technician to join the Manufacturing and Supply Chain team. You will assemble and verify spaceflight components, build wire harnesses, and collaborate with engineering to vet designs for production.

This hands-on role requires 8+ years in aerospace avionics, familiarity with harness tools, testing equipment, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Relocation assistance, occasional travel, and a 4-week PTO plan accompany a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Familiarity with fabricating, inspecting, and repairing wire harness assemblies.
• Experience with standard harnessing tools and measuring/layout of assemblies.
• Experience with testing/troubleshooting tools (DMM, milli-ohm meter, insulation tester, Hi-Pot).
• At least 8 years’ experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
• Ability to train others and present metrics to leadership.
• Attention to detail and passion for space.
• Familiarity with torquing, fasteners, harness assembly/disassembly.
• Experience interfacing with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and verify spaceflight harnesses and components.
• Collaborate with engineering to vet new designs for production.
• Provide feedback to improve designs and demonstrate processes.
• Support internal and external customers across multiple systems.
• Balance speed and safety to deliver high-quality components for spaceflight.
• Contribute to lab 5S initiatives and process improvements.
