Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Additive Manufacturing technician to support post-processing of printed parts across spaceflight systems. You will work on powder removal and support removal with a focus on identifying defects and ensuring high-quality, safe spaceflight hardware.

The role requires use of hand tools, measurement instruments, PPE, and adherence to safety practices. A HS diploma and 1+ years of hands-on relevant experience are expected, with potential overtime and shift coverage.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience working on parts related to spacecraft, airplanes, cars/trucks, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment of resourcefulness from their previous assignments.
  • Ability to support your shift and overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Desirable: 2+ years using hand tools that required fine detailed work.
  • Proven ability to read / work through prints & 3D models.
  • Mechanical aptitude for resolving issues as they arise.
  • 2+ years steady work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support Powder removal and Support removal during shifts with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Identify part defects such as cracks, geometric anomalies, and missing features in the Additive Manufacturing build process.
  • Maintain and operate inspection tools and PPE; assist with job hazard analysis and cross-training as needed.
