Job summary

Xona Space Systems, Inc. in Burlingame, CA, is seeking a Spacecraft Test Engineer to own mechanical and environmental testing across the spacecraft development lifecycle, from early R&D through first-article qualification.

You will design tests, build fixtures, lead vibration and TVAC campaigns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate test results into design improvements and flight hardware readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related.
• 3+ years of engineering experience with hardware testing.
• Experience with spacecraft environmental tests: vibration, TVAC, thermal cycling.
• Ability to interpret test data and perform root-cause analysis.
• Hands-on with flight hardware and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own planning and execution of first-article spacecraft vibration testing.
• Develop vibration test plans and instrument configurations.
• Design test fixtures and ground support equipment.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering teams for test readiness.
• Lead post-test inspections, anomaly resolution, and reporting.
• Drive test methodologies as Pulsar fleet scales.
