Job summary

Xona in Burlingame, CA is seeking a Production Technician & Equipment Operator to support repeat production assembly, test, and integration of spacecraft components. You will operate and maintain production equipment, perform environmental and vibration tests, assemble electrical harnesses and mechanical structures, and document data as part of a high-precision workflow with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical assembly, preferably in aerospace or electronics industries.
• Experience operating production equipment and machines (environmental chambers, vibration testing, etc.).
• Ability to read schematics and assembly instructions; basic GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling, fixtures, and instrumentation for repeatable production tests on spacecraft equipment.
• Assemble and integrate satellite components and subsystems following work instructions.
• Perform PCB handling, inspection, and functional testing to IPC criteria.
• Measure and document data as part of the assembly process.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Support cable routing, insulation, and assembly tasks including bonding and torque-controlled fastening.
• Help evolve process instructions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanroom-like environment and proper ESD practices.
