Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Engineering Technician 2s for a contract opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA. You will support Space Systems Integration, Test, and Launch Execution by assembling, testing, and preparing spacecraft and payloads.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, tools, and precision measurement, and the ability to work varying shifts on-site. Education: HS diploma and related experience; space industry background preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; accredited school.
• 2 years of related experience or additional education.
• Willing to work any shift and cover extended weeks.
• Technical knowledge in mechanical assembly and manufacturing operations.
• Experience with hand tools and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical engineers in development, assembly and integration of spacecraft hardware.
• Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components.
• Develop test methodology for subsystems and systems.
• Set up and test prototype and flight units under operational conditions.
• Support space systems operations related to launch execution.
