Job summary

Redwire Space Missions LLC in Littleton, CO is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of a new spacecraft designed for very‑low Earth orbit missions. You will work closely with lead systems engineers on requirements management, interface management, customer deliverables, and cross‑functional coordination.

The ideal candidate has a strong systems-thinking mindset and thrives in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

B.S. in STEM with 2–4 years experience or M.S. with 0–2 years.
Experience in requirements development, subsystem design, and integration & test.
Familiarity with NASA or DoD lifecycle reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
Strong problem solving and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

Support lead systems engineers in managing system and subsystem requirements, including decomposition & flow-down.
Drive interface management across mechanical, electrical, and data interfaces.
Contribute to customer deliverables such as requirements documents & verification plans.
Collaborate to evaluate design decisions and select COTS components.
Support development of a spacecraft bus and payload accommodations for VLEO environments.
Participate in risk assessments and technical reviews to ensure coherent system architecture.
Assist in planning and tracking verification activities and milestones.
Help with test plans and verification objectives.
