Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 2 to join our Space Systems team in Gilbert, AZ. You will work as a systems engineer on a national security space program, contributing to design, integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations of space vehicles.

The role is an individual contributor within a cross-disciplinary team, focusing on requirements development, verification planning, interface control, and on-floor support for spacecraft and payloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years of engineering experience or Master's in STEM
• Self-starter with strong technical problem-solving skills and initiative to drive product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience on space programs or satellite operations preferred
• Understanding of Systems Engineering functions
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts
• Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads
• Assist with trade studies, system sensitivity analyses and mission analyses; prepare briefing material
• Provide on-floor support for integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft and payloads
• Capture core concepts from technical data and communicate to peers
