Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, AZ seeks an experienced Systems Engineer for a national security space program. You will contribute to design, integration, tests, launch, and on-orbit operations of spacecraft, working within a cross-disciplinary team on space payloads and spacecraft buses.

The role requires either Level 2 or Level 3 experience, Bachelor's or higher in STEM, and a current TS/Secret clearance. On-site work in Gilbert is expected with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years of engineering experience OR
• Master's degree in STEM
• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years for Level 3 OR
• Master's degree with 3 years of experience or PhD with 1 year
• Active or current U.S. Government Secret Clearance at time of application
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
• Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.
• Assist with trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization, system performance assessments, mission analysis and CONOPS development.
• Support execution activities including engineering review board and configuration control board.
• Prepare review/briefing material for working group meetings, reviews and program status.
• Provide on-floor support of integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft and payloads.
