Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Structures Design Engineer in Palo Alto, CA to lead the design and development of spacecraft structures and secondary supports. You will generate drawings, support build, and contribute to special structure projects within a small team.

The role requires a strong Creo background, 5 years of experience, and the ability to guide sub-system owners while driving continuous improvement and robust documentation. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related field.
• 5 years of experience, including piece part and subassembly modeling in CREO or other CAD software and assembly drawing generation.
• Knowledge in manufacturing process, additive design, mechanical assembly, electromechanical integration of flight equipment.
• Experience with Creo and MATLAB/Simulink; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage programmatic requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create product specifications, negotiate design details, interfaces, test plans/procedures, and manufacturing/test processes based on program requirements.
• Assist in oversight for the integration of subcontracted hardware into spacecraft systems architecture.
• Generate engineering drawings and models with Creo and other design tools.
• Help disposition nonconformances and drive for process improvements.
