Firefly Aerospace is seeking an Analysis Engineer to perform structural analyses on spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, and ground support equipment. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to improve designs and minimize weight while meeting strength and stability requirements.

Responsibilities include executing FEM and hand calculations, validating models with test data, and guiding material property choices to meet safety factors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with a Bachelor's.
• Level-3 requires 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree or 10+ years with a Master's; proficiency in analytical simulation and aerospace methods.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test engineering to develop hardware through the design lifecycle.
• Perform structural analyses by hand and using finite element methods for composites and metals.
• Execute linear and non-linear structural analyses, eigenvalue buckling, and modal analyses with ANSYS and NX Nastran.
• Develop test requirements to ensure adequate data for analysis correlation.
• Validate finite element analyses with hand calculations and test data.
• Review internal and external analyses and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Define material properties and part modifications to meet structural requirements and safety factors.
