Job summary

Inversion, an aerospace and defense company, is seeking an RF Engineering Intern to support verification, validation, integration, and performance characterization of flight and ground RF/Telemetry systems for the Arc reentry vehicle. You will join the Avionics team, performing hands-on RF testing, antenna integration, and system validation in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate in engineering, physics or math.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab or projects).
• Coursework or project experience in RF, antennas, electromagnetics, or communications.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to present technical results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Work with RF engineers to understand development and flight prep of RF/telemetry systems.
• Perform RF test and measurement using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, generators, scopes, and meters.
• Support over-the-air and antenna testing, range setup and validation.
• Assist GPS testing and integration for the Arc vehicle.
• Support ground-station compatibility testing; travel to test sites if needed.
• Assist testing of in-house RF hardware including SDR-based systems.
• Collect, process, and document RF test data; generate test reports.
• Assist test automation and data analysis using Python or MATLAB.
