Job summary

Inversion seeks an RF Engineering Intern to assist verification, validation, integration, and performance characterization of flight and ground RF/Telemetry systems for its Arc re-entry vehicles. You'll work in the Avionics team with hands-on RF testing, antenna and GPS integration, and ground station compatibility efforts.

This lab-heavy internship offers direct exposure to RF hardware, SDR-based systems, and data analysis using Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate engineering/physics/math program.
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or project).
• RF, antennas, electromagnetics, or communications systems coursework.
• Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RF engineers to validate aerospace RF/telemetry systems.
• Conduct RF test and measurement using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Support OTA and antenna tests, range setup and validation.
• Assist GPS testing and Arc ground station compatibility.
• Handle data collection, analysis, and test reports.
• Assist with Python/MATLAB-based test automation.
