Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Spacecraft Propulsion & Thrusters Business Segment Director in Buffalo, NY. This senior leadership role owns the segment’s strategy, P&L, cross‑functional alignment, and customer partnerships to grow revenue and improve performance.

You will lead strategic planning, manage budgets, and coordinate with the Propulsion Systems BU to allocate capital and resources for multiple programs with international and domestic customers. Onsite role with strong leadership expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related discipline.
• Master’s degree in engineering or business or related discipline preferred.
• 12+ years of experience managing business functions in a diverse environment.
• Demonstrated P&L leadership including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, negotiations, and sales organization management.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management to influence across cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional business and financial acumen, including contract management, risk assessment and financial decision‑making.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to balance long‑term vision with execution.
• Excellent relationship-building and networking to maintain trusted customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Setting, communicating and executing the strategic plan for the Spacecraft Propulsion & Thrusters Business Segment.
• Managing the Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet for the business segment with targets for Bookings, Sales and Profit.
• Overseeing day‑to‑day program execution of complex development and production programs across multiple customers.
• Building strong relationships with customers, industry partners, suppliers and internal Moog stakeholders to drive collaboration.
• Maintaining an organization focused on improving customer metrics and internal performance while serving as the escalation point.
• Supporting new business opportunities in line with international and domestic market needs.
• Serving as a senior member of the Propulsion Business Unit Leadership Team on strategic planning and capital allocation.
• Partnering with Propulsion Systems BU peers to develop workforce and capital plans.
• Tracking progress on the strategic plan and addressing gaps with BU leadership.
