Job summary

DeSanti is seeking a Systems Engineer in the Pasadena area to support end-to-end power subsystem solutions. You will oversee requirements, architectures, and interfaces for space hardware, collaborating with designers and project teams to ensure robust, compliant designs.

The role covers hardware delivery, ATLO operations, and in-flight support, with emphasis on EMI/EMC, grounding, and solar/battery systems. Strong communication and cross-functional skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of power systems engineering principles and practices.
• Experience delivering flight hardware and ATLO operations.
• Experience with grounding, EMI/EMC, harness design and battery management.
• Proficient in diagnosing root causes and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Excellent oral and interpersonal communication.
• Familiarity with space power subsystems and solar arrays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage power system and electrical system requirements.
• Develop and execute V&V plans on lead projects.
• Develop power system architectures for new missions.
• Perform power system sizing and resource management.
• Document electrical interfaces across a spacecraft.
• Collaborate with power designers to optimize architectures.
• Perform architectural trades balancing technical, schedule, cost.
• Develop grounding diagrams for EMI/EMC compliance.
• Produce design products for hardware development and as-built config.
• Present power system concepts to management and project teams.
• Adhere to power and electrical systems standards and quality expectations.
