Apex Technology, Inc. seeks talented engineering interns to work with our aerospace team on spacecraft power electronics. You will gain hands-on experience, work on a 12-week program with a dedicated mentor, and participate in learning sessions to advance your aerospace knowledge.

You will contribute to power electronics testing, hardware development, and controller design, with opportunities to engage in design reviews and real project impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Power Electronics or Embedded Systems or Control
• Graduating Fall 2027 or Spring 2028
• LT Spice, Altium, MathWorks, C2000 microcontrollers
• Preferred coursework Introduction to Power Electronics, Introduction to Linear/Continuous Control, Introduction to Motor Drives
• Spring interns may pause or adjust academic commitments for the program

Responsibilities

• Design, Build, and Testing non-isolated and isolated power converters for space applications
• Simulate the power stage in SPICE
• Model the plant and design the controller for the topology
• Schematic capture and component selection on the board
• Layout components on the board with optimized wiring
• Bench top testing of circuits using lab equipment
• Control loop tuning in analog or digital domains
