Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Spacecraft Operations Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on ground and payload systems, satellite operations, and on-console activities during launch and early orbit, with multiple shifts including nights and weekends.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, 2+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, and familiarity with UNIX and Windows systems. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent; 0 years with an associate’s degree.
• Preferred: 2 years with an Associate’s degree; 0 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience conducting satellite operations with the Satellite Control Network in real-time operations.
• Experience monitoring satellite activities and familiarity with satellite ground systems.

Responsibilities

• Spacecraft Planning/Monitoring/Operations: test and perform on-console satellite ops during launch and early orbit; plan, set up ground communication support; monitor telemetry and advise on failures.
• Communications/Scheduling/Troubleshooting: establish satellite communications; troubleshoot issues; document outages; coordinate multi-program activities; onsite work only; no remote/hybrid.
