You will guide a group of engineers and designers, ensure designs meet environmental and reliability requirements, and collaborate with program managers to align schedules and budgets for mechanical

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• 5+ years in leadership or management.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Experience with space hardware and ground support equipment.
• Ability to create CAD models and design documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Develop detailed parts designs that meet performance, reliability, and environmental requirements for space hardware.
• Perform analyses to satisfy internal requirements for hardware performance, life, and environmental conditions.
• Create 3D models and documentation using CAD tools, focusing on SolidWorks.
• Support assembly and test activities, including performance testing and qualification in shock, vibration, and space-relevant environments.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance and day-to-day direction.
• Collaborate with program managers to plan schedules, budgets, and timelines for mechanical deliverables.
• Contribute to a culture of rapid iteration and learning from failures in mechanical design and testing.
• Work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration into system architecture.
• Maintain clear documentation and communication of design decisions and results for stakeholders.
