Play a critical role in preparing next-generation spacecraft for launch.
An innovative, rapidly expanding space technology company is seeking a Spacecraft Launch Integration Engineer to support the final integration, verification, and launch readiness of advanced satellite systems.
This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to work directly with flight-critical spacecraft hardware at the launch site, ensuring complex mechanical and electrical systems are fully integrated, tested, and ready for flight.
You'll be involved in the final stages of spacecraft preparation, working alongside engineering, integration, and launch operations teams to support successful missions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support final spacecraft integration, inspection, and launch-site readiness activities.
- Perform hands-on integration and verification of spacecraft mechanisms, separation systems, and launch vehicle interfaces.
- Conduct mechanical inspections, torque verification, fastener checks, and hardware configuration reviews.
- Support electrical connector mating, continuity testing, and interface verification.
- Execute mechanical and electrical testing of flight-critical separation and release systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and support anomaly investigations during launch campaigns.
- Maintain configuration control, test documentation, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with launch vehicle providers, spacecraft engineering teams, and mission operations personnel.
- Participate in launch readiness reviews, rehearsals, and countdown activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in spacecraft, launch vehicle, aerospace, defense, or complex hardware engineering.
- Hands-on experience with hardware integration, assembly, inspection, or testing.
- Familiarity with mechanical interfaces, torque-controlled assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with electrical connectors, harnesses, continuity testing, or interface verification.
- Understanding of configuration management, quality procedures, and flight hardware documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
- Spacecraft or launch vehicle integration campaigns.
- Separation systems, deployment mechanisms, or release hardware.
- Launch vehicle interfaces, umbilicals, or disconnect systems.
- Flight hardware qualification, acceptance testing, or launch operations.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work directly at the launch site, supporting spacecraft through the final stages before flight.
- Gain hands-on exposure to complex spacecraft mechanisms and launch vehicle integration.
- Join a fast-growing space technology company working on ambitious satellite missions.
- Take ownership of critical engineering activities with a direct impact on mission success.
- Work alongside experienced spacecraft engineers and launch operations specialists.
This role requires flexibility to support launch campaigns, including occasional nights, weekends, and schedule changes driven by mission requirements.
