Job summary

Sierra Space seeks a Ground Operations Engineer II to support spacecraft and launch vehicle processing, including MES authoring, integration activities, and hazardous operations under standard supervision.

Responsibilities include data analysis, technical documentation, and collaboration with engineering, quality, and range operations to achieve mission success. Travel to field ops sites is expected during campaigns and testing phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering standards and concepts.
• Experience applying technical principles to solve problems.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with guidance.
• Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support ground operations for test, launch and landing campaigns.
• Perform MES authoring, procedure validation and integration ops.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and field partners.
• Document processing activities, anomalies and lessons learned.
• Travel to government and commercial facilities as needed.
