Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Systems Engineer II to contribute to the development of advanced space ground systems and vehicle integration. You will help align the technical team through the lifecycle, decompose requirements, and ensure traceability from concept to validation.

Responsibilities cover ground system architecture, software tools for telemetry processing, and cross‑functional integration with flight systems, with a focus on delivering compliant, cohesive solutions.

Qualifications

• Derive, decompose, and manage technical requirements across system levels.
• Develop verification and validation strategies and plans.
• Lead requirements reviews, trade studies, and technical audits.
• Experience with MBSE tools and framework.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ground system architectures and interfaces.
• Coordinate ground segment integration with flight systems.
• Support mission operations centers and ground software/tools development.
• Lead verification activities and document results at SE II level.
• Oversee risk management and ensure end-to-end system readiness.
