Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer II to lead GNC/ADCS development for a growing fleet of spacecraft. You will work across the engineering life cycle, from concept to I&T, coordinating with Systems, Avionics, Flight Software, and Mission Operations to ensure mission success.

Based at our Long Beach headquarters, you will mentor a team, develop flight software and simulation tools, and define fault detection and response.

Qualifications

• BS and 8+ years in GNC/ADCS.
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC design, modeling, and analysis for diverse spacecraft missions.
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products.
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management.
• Select GNC components and design subsystems.
• Develop and execute test processes.
• Coordinate with Systems, Avionics, Flight Software teams.
