Job summary

Katalyst is a US-based space robotics company seeking a systems-oriented GNC engineer to join our team in Colorado. You will contribute to design, modeling, simulation, testing, and operation of spacecraft Guidance, Navigation & Control systems, collaborating across software, avionics, and mechanical teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, hands-on GNC experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with strong fundamentals in dynamics and controls.
  • Hands-on GNC experience through internships, projects, or employment.
  • Ability to break down GNC problems and validate with simulation or data.
  • Clear written and verbal technical communication across teams.
  • Willingness to work hands-on in office/lab environments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design, development, analysis, integration, test, and operation of GNC systems.
  • Own GNC problems from definition through modeling, simulation, and validation.
  • Work with simulation environments, flight data, and hardware-in-the-loop tools.
  • Participate in design reviews, test campaigns, and mission-readiness activities.
  • Collaborate across software, avionics, mechanical, propulsion, and systems teams.
