Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced GN&C engineer to lead guidance and flight control development for lunar missions. You will derive guidance from trajectories, implement control laws for orbital maneuvers, and collaborate across subsystems to ensure robust designs.

Expect to prototype algorithms and support mission analyses. The role emphasizes Rust/C/C++ development, software validation, and participation in reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in aerospace engineering or physics with extensive experience in GN&C.
• Deep knowledge of astrodynamics, orbital mechanics and attitude dynamics.
• Expertise in guidance and control algorithm development for flight.

Responsibilities

• Derive spacecraft guidance designs from mission-level trajectories.
• Develop and sustain flight control algorithms for complex missions.
• Perform trade studies for RPOD maneuver targeting and design.
• Collaborate with subsystems to ensure design closure.
• Develop software for flight systems and simulations; test in SIL/HIL.
