Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to own the development and integration of high-fidelity hardware emulations for the Blue Ring platforms. You will build drivers, integrate simulations with emulation hardware, and execute thorough test plans to ensure emulation accuracy against flight hardware.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded software or hardware emulation, strong C/C++ and Python skills, and experience with real-time systems and lab testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/EE or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development, simulation, or hardware emulation/testing.
• Proficiency in C/C++ development.
• Python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded control systems, APIs, interfaces, and device drivers.
• Experience with lab hardware testing equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• Familiarity with digital communication protocols (Ethernet, SpaceWire, CAN, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player; inclusive culture contributor.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software drivers for emulation hardware interfaces.
• Integrate vehicle component simulations with the hardware emulation platform.
• Develop and execute test plans, automation scripts, and procedures to validate emulation against flight hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies between emulation and physical hardware.
