Job summary

Redwire's Littleton, CO facility seeks a Systems Engineer, Software to drive system‑level architecture across software, avionics, and spacecraft subsystems. You will lead cross‑functional efforts and shape software requirements with a focus on V&V planning.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in space or embedded RTOS environments, strong systems engineering experience, and a record of leading software integration with hardware. U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Software/Computer/Systems/Aerospace engineering.
• Minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience in space or embedded/real-time systems.
• Experience leading software integration with hardware, avionics, and networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of system requirements, designs, and V&V plans.
• Ensure flight software performance across subsystems like C&DH, GNC, power, RF.
• Develop software integration strategies with HW-in-the-loop testing.
• Coordinate major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and verification.
• Define software interfaces and manage Interface Control Documents.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across software teams.
• Contribute to system trade studies and risk management for flight software.
