Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science with 5+ years aerospace/space Test Engineering experience
• Experience writing test plans, procedures, reports and data packages
• Experience with environmental testing (TVAC, Vibration, and Shock)
• Scripting and automation skills (Python)
• Experience with Linux (OS)
• PCA troubleshooting
• Ability to travel on occasion as needed
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Work on highly complex projects requiring innovative and original solutions
• Devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of product in conjunction with requirements
• Provide test area and facility with parameters for testing and specify tests to be performed
• Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirements
• Responsible for testing all customer hardware and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area
• Consult with the development and/or requirements team to coordinate and test applications
• Performs analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products
• Develop testing procedures, including scripted testing automation
• Implement the testing processes and ensure all test activities follow those processes
• Produce reports on each test activity and track test metrics
• Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
• Effectively train/mentor the work group and lead teams within the group
• Resolve divergent technical opinions within team and customers
• Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
• Must be able to travel to test facilities up to 15%. Out-of-state travel may be required
• Ability to support testing outside of business hours including overnight and weekends on occasion
