Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, seeks a Build Reliability Engineer to partner with design and manufacturing to identify and resolve spacecraft quality issues and drive reliability from early development through production.

You will develop quality plans for flight hardware, implement Lean inspection processes, monitor ramp-up, and lead root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams to remove risk and reduce non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4+ years in mechanical and avionics product manufacturing, assembly, test and inspection.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications for assembly and test procedures.
• Understanding of root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create quality plans for flight hardware, including characteristics, testing, first article and inspection planning.
• Develop and validate Lean test and inspection processes for new and existing products/processes.
• Monitor product/process performance during ramp-up using quality tools and data.
• Lead regular build quality reviews; identify risk reduction opportunities and improve manufacturability with cross-functional teams.
