Job summary

Parallax Space is seeking a mid-to-senior Avionics & Electrical Power Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and qualify electrical power systems for spacecraft and payloads. You will own power architecture, distribution, and battery design across the product lifecycle.

The role requires translating mission requirements into reliable, manufacturable power solutions, with hands-on design, analysis, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams and suppliers. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace engineering required.
  • 5+ years designing high-reliability electrical power systems.
  • Experience with spacecraft power architectures and battery systems.
  • U.S. security clearance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end electrical power system architectures for spacecraft and mission hardware.
  • Size batteries and power-distribution hardware and review schematics.
  • Support hardware through design reviews, integration, and flight production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure qualification.
